Nelson Park Boardwalk

The boardwalk was constructed in a marshy area using re-cycled plastic materials. The framework consisted of plastic piles driven into the marsh, supporting a lattice work of cross beams and edge beams. Plastic planking and toe strips were then attached to the lattice work to form the boardwalk.
Deri Dry Stone Wall

The existing dry stone wall at the foot of a bank had collapsed due to inadequate drainage behind. Marton excavated the foot of the bank, installed a no-fines concrete wall to act as reinforcement and drainage, and rebuilt the dry stone wall using the existing stone. All done using our in-house stone masons, holding the necessary certifications to construct dry stone walls.
Llanhileth Gabion Basket Wall

An existing gabion basket wall had failed. Marton were called out on an emergency basis under our Highway Structures Maintenance Contract to remove the material to store, support the bank holding the garden above, excavate, and rebuild the gabion wall using the existing stone.
